Brett Markinson
Founder & President
Brett is a serial entrepreneur with 30 years of experience building and backing category-defining companies. He pioneered early digital media and eCommerce ventures including LowerMyBills and HauteLook, and has been nominated four times for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award—winning twice. Brett also founded Incentify, an enterprise SaaS company innovating the tax credit marketplace for Fortune 500 companies, and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Babson College Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship.
Brett's instinct for identifying market inflection points and disruptive technology is the foundation of VCMatch—applying decades of pattern recognition to help founders find their ideal investors.
Avi Flombaum
CEO
Avi is a self-taught programmer and serial entrepreneur who leads VCMatch's product and technology. He began his career as Director of Technology at Whitehaven Hedge Fund before founding DesignerPages.com. At 27, he created Flatiron School, where he helped tens of thousands learn to code and launch new careers. After selling Flatiron School, Avi joined Innovent to build the next generation of AI-powered tools for founders.
Avi brings over two decades of experience turning ideas into companies that teach, scale, and endure. He designed VCMatch's AI matching engine and leads the team building the intelligence platform that powers every recommendation.
David Jette
COO & Entrepreneur-in-Residence
David has fifteen years of experience as a founder, entrepreneur, and executive across technology, finance, arts, and public policy. He leads operational, technical, and creative development across Innovent's portfolio of companies. David is passionate about the intersection of finance, technology, and society—particularly innovations that unlock value and promote universal access to housing, lending, and decarbonization.
At VCMatch, David ensures the operational infrastructure runs smoothly and helps connect the dots between product development and the needs of founders navigating fundraising.
Keith Yoder
Director of Business Development & Sr. Associate
Keith brings deep expertise in market research, deal execution, and business development across Innovent's portfolio. He manages day-to-day operations and identifies new opportunities with a sharp eye for emerging technology—particularly in blockchain and digital finance.
Keith's hands-on experience evaluating deals and building relationships with founders and investors directly informs how VCMatch approaches matching and recommendations.
Amy Harmon
Sr. Ops Manager / Investment Associate
Amy leverages extensive experience in entertainment, hospitality, and operations to identify promising investment opportunities and foster connections across the investment community. She is passionate about MedTech, GreenTech, and innovative solutions in supply chain and construction.
At VCMatch, Amy manages internal operations and provides strategic support, ensuring the platform delivers on its promise to founders.
Jade Markinson
Business / Investment Associate
Jade graduated from NYU with a degree in research psychology, bringing deep skills in market research and go-to-market strategy. She previously worked in R&D at 25Madison's startup incubator across five consumer-facing companies, and in business development and marketing at Onda from pre-launch.
Jade's research-driven approach to evaluating startups and market opportunities shapes how VCMatch profiles and matches companies with investors.
