The BOLD Fund believes that venture capital should be fundamentally reformed to treat entrepreneurs as whole human beings rather than just financial propositions. Their human-centered approach is based on the conviction that “at the heart of every great idea, company, or investment, there are real, intelligent, and talented human beings who need to be considered, treated well, taken care of mentally, emotionally, and physically in order for the venture to thrive.” They argue this approach creates better long-term value and improved success rates, making it “not just good for people and the right thing to do, it happens to be good for business.”
